Core & Culture: How We Support Physical Health in a Practical Way at ADDITIVE

Petra Enrich

Health Needs Space - Even in the Daily Worklife
“Roll out the mat” was the motto in our communal space at the Bolzano office: As part of our health initiative, we held a functional core training session right on-site. Guided by Daniela Pixner from “BEWEGLICH Trainingstherapie”, the session focused on targeted exercises for the back, mobility, and stability - deliberately kept simple and easy to put into practice.
Between Back, Posture and Aha Moments
The training itself focused on areas particularly challenged in everyday office life: releasing tension in the shoulders, relaxing the lower back, activating the core, and mobilizing the hips. The goal was to develop a better understanding of one’s own body and its needs. Small, consciously executed movements quickly made it clear how posture, tension, and relief are interconnected - and how much prevention is possible with simple means.

More Than Training: Movement That Transfers Into Everyday Life
What makes this offering special is its transfer into daily routines. The training session did not end with the last exercise but continues directly at the workplace: Additional input on ergonomic sitting, individual posture guidance, and practical recommendations for short relief breaks ensure that what has been learned has a lasting impact. This way, physical health becomes part of the daily work routine.
Mental Strength Meets Physical Balance
At ADDITIVE, the funcitonal core training is part of a bigger picture: With the 2026 health initiative, we are deliberatly focusing on programs that equally address mental and physical aspects and are embedded into our daily work routine. The initative kicked off in January with a mental health workshop:
Together with Johanna Fischer, we developed strategies to better understand stress, sharpen focus, strengthen resilience, and enable conscious recovery in everyday life. The functional core training with Daniela Pixner builds directly on this - this time on a physical level. After all, a sustainable health culture emerges when mental and physical aspects are considered together.

Health as Part of Our Team Culture
The functional core training is just one building block among many. At ADDITIVE, we consciously create space for a variety of health offerings: from year-round fitness and climbing memberships for our team to selective initiatives throughout the year. At the same time, new ideas often emerge directly from the team, such as participating together in half marathons in Copenhagen, Barcelona, or this year in Malta - which ADDITIVE supports and facilitates logistically. In this way, the topic of health continues to evolve step by step as an integral part of everyday work life.
